I love it, kids love it great piece even for decor, and it works! The bun warmer is more of a bun dryer. it makes them hard.My husband and I took over lunches for a local train club. People love the hotdogs. They are quite popular. In fact we are hoping to add Braids soon. Easy to clean.Easy to clean ans assemble. This item works well on hot dogs & gets them nice & browned. Not so great for brats since it only heats them up due to their size. The bun warmer just dried out the buns. Granted they were warm & dry, but no thanks. It'd be nice if it didn't break after just 5 uses. If this dog roller were $30 that would be an appropriate price point.I looked at many reviews for this and other similar Hot Dog Rollers. We make them for the neighborhood kids regularly, and for ourselves, but have no need for a $100+ unit. We wanted a roller that was inexpensive, but still did the job well...and this unit definitely fit the bill!Assembly was a snap and without any fit or other issues. Took all of 2 minutes. One of the rollers had a very small dent, but did not affect anything or dogs rolling, so ignored completely. The instructions are clear and concise, and easily followed. We have now cooked regular beef, turkey, vegetarian, and cheese dogs on the machine, and on HIGH, it does a great job of cooking and browning the dogs! That makes them EVER SO MUCH BETTER and TASTIER than boiling, steaming, or microwaving! The kids love the dogs and like watching the machine roll them while cooking. Turning down the heat level after browning will keep them ready indefinitely. We used the bun warmer infrequently, and when we did, we wrapped the buns in paper towels to keep them from drying out. 5-10 minutes is all we use for the buns in the warmer.Cleaning was a breeze. Lift out the roller unit, clean under a running faucet with a sponge, dry with a towel, then see if the crumb tray has anything on it and clean if necessary. Done! All in all, we are extremely pleased with this Roller Unit, and I can heartily recommend this inexpensive, but effective Hot Dog Roller! Bon Appetit!I would have given this 5 stars but I noticed immediately that the hot dog bun holder had severe paint fading on the front where you open it. What should be white is a light pink. It's not so noticeable that I'd ask for a return and as long as the product works as intended I don't think a little paint fading is worth fussing over. I just received the package about 30 minutes ago, put it together and installed on my counter in under five minutes. After assembling it, I rinsed off the rollers with some soapy water and dried it and put on a few hot dogs. Anxiously waiting to see how they turn out. I used to work at a movie theater when I was younger and always loved the taste of roller cooked hot dogs. I mean microwaving and boiling/steaming works great but nothing beats a plump, juicy hot dog made right in your own kitchen. Also doesn't hurt that I'm a huge Coca-cola fanatic. I may edit this in the near future to tell you how my lunch turned out for today and how well it handles over time. Enjoy!Edit: 04/27/2015 I've had this product for a few weeks now, my family loves it so much that we have been purchasing hot dogs every few days. The bun warmer even though it's cute... requires using some imagination. So I wrap the buns in a damp paper towel before putting them inside the lid without the damp paper towel the buns became rock hard and would crumble. As for the rollers and cooking, you can put 8 average sized dogs on here no problem. Having used it quite often it's still quiet and no issues with the heating plates which I had noticed some other reviews mentioned. It's possible they got a defective product and should have returned them for an exchange. Mine is getting plenty of use and for the price... no praise I can write would be high enough.I bought this because I thought it would make hot dogs like I used to have at the ball park, the ones that were so roasted they look like beef jerky.Well, this aint it.I left the hot dogs on the roller set to high for 1h30min, not even close to looking like the ones from the old days.It worked in general, I mean you can cook a good hot dog in 20 min, but there is nothing nostalgic about it.Also the bread compartment on top only makes dry bread. I tried with and without a Scott towel around the bun, no difference, just a horrible bun. It's a novelty that can make regular hotdogs and horrible buns.At least the price was great and the shipping was very fast. Also it's very easy to clean and to use.I was able to put 8 Hygrade regular sausages (Canadian meat guys) at the same time, no problem, but only 6 buns in the top compartment.Overall satisfied, but I would of loved to have theses old time hotdogs.Guess I just need to buy a time machine.I can't do a review at this time as I bought it for a "fun" Christmas gift for my son who loves hot dogs....I love the look of it though...Once preheated it cooks fast so put on just 15 min before needing hotdogs. Fun for kids.Hasta ahora excelente producto, no le doy 5 estellas debidoa que donde se guardan los panes no hay forma de mantenerlos calientes, solamente es un almacenamiento.Works awesome. Getting lots of use.
