The manual sliding doors on our 2014 Odyssey LX were a plague for years, sticking and jamming to the point I was going to get rid of the vehicle. After doing online research, I found the likely culprit to be the middle roller mechanism..... I called the dealer and was told "for starters it will be at least $800 for labor and I'm not sure of the price for parts".... It wasn't clear to me if the $800 was for one or both doors. And I suspected the parts cost from the dealer would not be the $50 of this item from Amazon.Anyway, specifically on my 2014 LX model I was able to replace both middle roller mechanisms in less than an hour with minimal help from my son. I am of modest mechanical ability. Tools needed: 12mm crescent wrench, hammer, and something to prop up the door (I used a milk crate). Recommended tool T40 screwdriver head -- I bought a set of specialty screwdriver heads including the T40 for about $6 at harbor freight.I recommend watching a Youtube video on this to get the idea, but none of the videos I saw were for the 2014 which has different trim. And as I found out the 2014 is actually easier to work on because I didn't have to remove trim or the tail-light as they did on Youtube. This is what I did:#1: Set prop under door. Open door most of the way and remove the two bolts holding the middle roller mechanism on.#2: I found it useful to loosen but not remove the car's side panel above the middle roller mechanism track. To do this remove the two T40 screws in the back of the panel (open the rear door and look alongside the rear tail light). The panel should be a little looser after this and this makes it easier to remove the old mechanism from the track.#3: Keep the plate which affixes to the door. To do this just remove the bolt holding the old roller mechanism and then reattach the new mechanism to the plate with the new bolt and lock screw included. I lightly greased the bolt and contact surfaces.#4 Slide the new roller mechanism into the track from the back (gently pulling out on the panel and maybe using a flashlight to see the track. It is easy for the rollers to fall out of the track at this stage and you may need to repeat this to make sure it is seated properly).#5: Align the fixation plate with the door (strongly recommend 2nd person for this part to lift the door). Bolt in place. Reattach the two T40 bolts on the body trim. Done*.*I had to adjust one of my doors after this because it didn't move smoothly. I loosed the two bolts, lifted up on the door again and re-tightened them. Problem solved. Both doors "almost" as good as new... And savings of probably close to $1000 over the dealership..... This whole thing made me so mad I wrote this review because it was not that hard to do even without much experience or the perfect tools.
