This lint roller is an elegant solution to some very common problems - crumbs, dust, hair, and lint. It's a very small, compact little roller that fits into the palm of your hand with no handle needed. The outer cover is beautiful (I got the green one) and the ball inside is also beautiful and looks sort of like a big, round ice cube. The cover protects the roller when it's not in use and is easy to remove. Just pull on the little tab to open the lint roller up and expose the sticky ball. The ball is remarkably sticky. In fact, if you're not expecting it to be as sticky as it is, you might let go of it by accident when you roll it over cloth or any other surface. It picks up and holds a surprising amount of lint, crumbs, or dust and maintains its stickiness for quite a while, feeling like tape or glue if you touch it.It has been doing a great job of picking up all the lint, dust, crumbs, and hair I've thrown at it so far, It also feels wonderful to use it on your clothing if you happen to be wearing them at the time. It's kind of like a free massage when you do that. When it's "full up" and needs to be made sticky again, you can either rinse it under water or grab the ball and pry it out of the cover and then fully wash the ball and its cover in warm, soapy water. Afterwards, you can either let it air dry if you don't need it again right away or, if you do need it again right away, you can dry it with a microfiber cloth since that's less likely to put fresh lint onto the ball than other cloth, like a towel, would. Then pop the ball back into its casing, lining up the plastic inner tube openings with the circular openings inside of the casing. You'll hear and feel a little pop when it snaps into place. When you're finished using the lint roller and it's clean and dry and the ball has been put back into place, you can put the tabbed cover back on to protect the roller until next time. To do that, line the cover you removed up with the casing (it only goes on one way) and squeeze to press the two pieces together. You'll hear and feel it snap into place.I've attached a couple of photos of it with the cover off and with it dirty and clean. One of the photos shows the ball covered in lint after running it over my clothing and the other one shows it after it's been rinsed clean. This is small enough that you could fit it into your pocket or purse or any kind of bag and could easily take it along with you when traveling. You could also stash it in a drawer at home or at work or on a shelf. It's pretty and doesn't have any writing on it, so it would just look like a little decorative item that you have out. It would also fit into the glove box of a car, although I'm not sure how "happy" it would be in the extreme temperatures that a car would likely subject it to.The manufacturer claims that you can use this lint roller for years and I have no doubt that that's true. It's well-made and feels sturdy and the ball is quite thick and solid. I'd highly recommend it and it would make a nice gift.
